We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux (Plesk) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a crucial bridge between development and IT operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of our infrastructure and its various hardware/software components. You will be responsible for monitoring, automating, and improving the reliability, performance, and availability of our systems.

You will collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and support teams to deliver exceptional service and resolve customer issues. Responsibilities :

  • Administer and manage Linux/Windows-based infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime, redundancy, and performance.
  • Manage VPS hosting, including resource allocation and optimization.
  • Optimize web hosting services, including Apache, Nginx, and MySQL.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Plesk hosting environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot email hosting services, including delivery issues, blacklisting, and spam filtering.
  • Administer MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring security and backups.
  • Configure firewalls (iptables, CSF), load balancing, and network security settings.
  • Optimize web hosting performance using server health logs and uptime using tools like Nagios and Prometheus.
  • Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular restoration tests.
  • Automate system tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, etc.
  • Work closely with product, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, server configurations, and best practices.

Qualifications :

  • Engineering degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • 4+ years of experience in a web hosting organization.
  • Red Hat Linux certification (preferred).
  • Plesk certification (preferred).
  • Extensive experience with Linux server administration.
  • Experience in Apache, Nginx, Plesk.
  • Experience in MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with email hosting configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of IPTables, CSF, load balancing, networking principles.
  • Better understanding of Nagios, Prometheus, server health logs.
  • Experience in Bash, Python scripting.

Experience with Virtual Private Server management. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of system performance tuning and optimization )
