Reporting to the Architect, Quality Assurance, the QA Manual & Automation Engineer will be responsible for the following duties and obligations:

Job Title: Sr QA Engineer

Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a talented Senior QA Engineer responsible for leading and
executing quality assurance activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality software
products. This role involves designing and implementing testing strategies, mentoring
junior QA engineers, and collaborating with development teams. The Senior QA
Engineer specializes in mobile testing, manual testing, performance testing, and
automation, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and efficient testing processes.
Additionally, the ideal candidate should have experience in testing applications
involving advanced technologies and thrive in a startup mode work culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and implement detailed test plans and strategies for mobile (iOS and
Android) and desktop web applications.

• Ensure extensive coverage and compatibility across various devices and OS.

• Define test objectives, test cases, and criteria for product acceptance.

• Translate product specifications into effective test strategies that meet
requirements.

Test Execution:

• Perform manual and automated testing on mobile applications across different
platforms (iOS, Android).

• Develop and sustain an automation testing framework.

• Write automated test scripts utilizing Selenium WebDriver and demonstrate
proficiency in Java/JavaScript.

• Incorporate unit testing frameworks like TestNG and maintain a robust
understanding of manual testing principles within the SDLC.

• Conduct performance testing to evaluate system behavior under load and stress
conditions.

• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely
resolution.

• Conduct testing on applications involving Blockchain, Crypto, AI/ML, and NLP
technologies.

• Perform REST API testing and automation using tools such as Postman.

• Conduct thorough integration, functional, and regression testing.

Team Leadership and Mentoring:

• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, providing technical guidance and
support.

• Conduct code reviews for automated tests and provide constructive feedback.

• Enhance defect resolution through active communication with the Development
Team and other departments.
• Lead QA initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices within
the team.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other
stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test
coverage.

• Participate in design and code reviews to provide early feedback on quality
issues.

• Communicate test results, progress, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring
transparency and alignment.

• Align closely with project managers and product owners to ensure testing
activities are integrated within project schedules.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Implement and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance.

• Address testing process inefficiencies with creative solutions, applying
analytical and problem-solving skills to complex testing challenges.

• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in QA methodologies and
tools.

Qualifications:Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering,
or a related field.

• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level) are a
plus.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a strong
focus on mobile testing, manual testing, performance testing, and automation.

• Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium,
Appium, JMeter).

• Experience with testing applications involving Blockchain, Crypto, AI/ML, and
NLP technologies.

• Experience working in a startup mode work culture, demonstrating adaptability
and a proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of mobile testing methodologies and tools, with
proficiency in manual testing and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

• In-depth knowledge of performance testing techniques and tools, along with
experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and test automation
development.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, coupled with excellent
attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
collaboratively across teams.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Preferred qualifications include certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB)
and experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
pipelines.

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies is also preferred.
