Job Description

We are looking for an experienced
Senior Backend Developer
with strong expertise in
PostgreSQL
, the
PERN stack (PostgreSQL, , React, )
, and
AWS
. The ideal candidate will architect and maintain high-performance backend systems that power scalable applications, ensuring reliability, responsiveness, and seamless integration with frontend services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement
    scalable, secure backend solutions

  • Architect, manage, and optimize
    PostgreSQL databases
    for performance, integrity, and efficiency.
  • Leverage
    AWS services
    (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) to enhance scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate
    user-facing features
    with server-side logic.
  • Develop and maintain
    RESTful APIs
    , ensuring best practices in design and implementation.
  • Write
    clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
    following industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for improved performance.
  • Conduct
    code reviews
    , mentor peers, and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Implement solutions that ensure
    application performance, availability, and responsiveness
    .

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    .
  • 4+ years
    of professional experience in backend development.
  • Proficiency in

    and the
    PERN stack
    .
  • Advanced knowledge of
    PostgreSQL
    (schema design, optimization, and complex queries).
  • Strong experience with
    AWS services
    (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of
    RESTful APIs
    , authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Expertise in
    Auth Services
    : OAuth2, JWT tokens, and webhook signature validation.
  • Experience decoupling
    Webhooks
    via queues for burst handling.
  • Hands-on knowledge of
    WebSockets
    with gateway and session storage (Redis/NATS).
  • Familiarity with
    Kafka or RabbitMQ
    for handling very high order/event volumes.
  • Strong understanding of
    Git workflows
    , problem-solving, and debugging.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications
