Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performing server-side applications and microservices. This role is critical in building resilient backend systems that support core financial and enterprise operations. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in , modern development practices, and cloud technologies to deliver solutions that meet business objectives, improve system reliability, and enhance user experiences.

Software Requirements

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in (latest LTS version preferred) with extensive experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript (minimum 1 year hands-on experience)

• Experience with database management, including relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalent

• Experience integrating with API gateways (e.g., 3Scale or similar platforms)

• Hands-on experience with security protocols including OAuth2, JWT, and implementing token-based authentication

• Knowledge of message brokers and streaming platforms such as Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, or Azure Service Bus

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with GraphQL APIs

• Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable, secure, and maintainable backend services and APIs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and frontend developers to deliver robust solutions

• Establish and enforce best practices for coding, testing, and deployment, including security standards

• Implement and manage containerized environments and automate deployment processes

• Troubleshoot system issues, analyze performance metrics, and proactively resolve bottlenecks

• Contribute to technical documentation, system architecture designs, and coding standards

• Keep current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, applying relevant innovations to improve solutions

• Support ongoing system improvements and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards

• Demonstrated expertise in API development, security, and troubleshooting in distributed systems

• Domain experience in finance, banking, or fintech environments is a plus but not mandatory; alternative experience in enterprise or large-scale systems is acceptable

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and extend backend microservices and APIs to support various business functions

• Participate in Agile planning meetings, stand-ups, retrospectives, and cross-team collaborations

• Write clean, efficient, and secure code, along with thorough documentation and API specifications

• Monitor application performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions promptly

• Automate deployment processes and manage containerized environments for continuous delivery

• Conduct security reviews, implement token-based authentication, and uphold data integrity

• Engage in peer code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing activities

• Work proactively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; industry experience can supplement formal education

• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, API security, or DevOps practices are advantageous
