Reporting To: Salon Manager / Owner
Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and client-focused Salon Specialist to deliver exceptional beauty and grooming services, ensuring a high-quality customer experience. The ideal candidate should be skilled in a range of hair, skin, and beauty services, with a passion for the beauty industry and a strong sense of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Hair Services
- Perform haircuts, blow-drying, ironing, and styling
- Hair coloring: global, root touch-up, highlights, balayage, etc.
- Execute treatments like smoothening, keratin, spa, and dandruff control
Skin & Beauty Services
- Perform facials, clean-ups, bleach, de-tan, threading, and waxing
- Recommend skin services based on skin types and concerns
- Maintain hygiene protocols during all beauty treatments
Nail & Grooming Services
- Provide manicures, pedicures, nail filing, and polishing
- Basic nail art or gel application (if trained)
Client Consultation & Upselling
- Consult clients to understand their beauty needs
- Recommend appropriate services and retail products
- Promote packages, memberships, and offers
Hygiene & Salon Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of tools and workstations
- Follow all salon hygiene and safety standards
- Assist in stock management and product usage tracking
Team & Operational Support
- Coordinate with front desk and other team members for smooth service flow
- Attend training sessions and workshops as required
- Provide support during promotional events or peak hours
Key Skills Required:
- Expertise in hair, skin, and/or beauty services
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Knowledge of latest beauty trends and products
- Time management and multitasking ability
- Polite, professional, and well-groomed appearance
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Basic understanding of salon software (preferred but not mandatory)
Educational & Certification Requirements:
- Diploma / Certification in Beauty Therapy / Cosmetology
- Training from a recognized beauty academy preferred
- Minimum 10th pass; 12th preferred
Salary:
20k - 30 k per month (based on experience)
