Key Responsibilities
Pre-operative Duties
- Conduct thorough pre-anaesthesia evaluations, assess patient history, physical status, and risk factors.
- Order and review relevant investigations.
- Explain anaesthesia plans, risks, and obtain informed consent.
- Optimize patients with comorbidities in coordination with relevant specialists.
Intra-operative Duties
- Administer general, regional, spinal, epidural, and local anaesthesia as appropriate.
- Monitor vital signs and manage airway, ventilation, circulation, and fluids.
- Ensure readiness and proper functioning of anaesthesia equipment and emergency drugs.
- Provide anaesthesia for emergency surgeries as required.
- Manage intra-operative complications promptly and effectively.
Post-operative Duties
- Oversee patient recovery in PACU (Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit).
- Address post-operative pain management through multimodal techniques.
- Manage post-operative complications related to anaesthesia.
- Document anaesthesia records accurately.
ICU & Emergency Support
- Provide ventilatory and hemodynamic support when required.
- Assist in resuscitation efforts, including trauma and cardiac arrest situations.
- Participate in ICU rounds if required by hospital policy.
Administrative & Other Responsibilities
- Maintain proper documentation as per CEA, NABH, and hospital protocols.
- Guide junior doctors, anaesthesia technicians, and nursing staff.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Attend departmental meetings, audits, and clinical reviews.
- Engage in CME programs, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBBS + MD / DNB Anaesthesiology from a recognized institution.
- Tamil Nadu Medical Council registration is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–5 years of post-PG experience in a multispeciality or tertiary care hospital (can be modified).
- Experience in ICU and emergency anaesthesia preferred.
- Skills in regional anaesthesia techniques are an advantage.

Pay: ₹100, ₹150,000.00 per month
