Job Summary:

Shree Siddheshwar Cancer Hospital -Solapur Maharashtra is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncologist (specifically a [Medical/Surgical/Radiation Oncologist]) to join our multidisciplinary cancer care team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, from initial diagnosis through treatment and survivorship/palliative care. This role involves developing and executing personalized treatment plans, participating in tumor boards, and contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis and Treatment Planning:
  • Diagnose, stage, and manage various types of cancer (or specific cancers, e.g., breast, lung, hematologic, etc.).
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, imaging (CT, MRI, PET), and biopsies.
  • Develop and oversee individualized, evidence-based treatment plans utilizing modalities such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy, and/or surgical intervention.
  • Patient Care and Communication:
  • Clearly communicate the diagnosis, prognosis, and potential treatment options, benefits, and side effects to patients and their families with empathy and compassion.
  • Monitor patient progress, manage symptoms and treatment-related side effects, and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
  • Provide continuous support, including palliative and end-of-life care, as appropriate.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Lead and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary cancer team, including surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, oncology nurses, social workers, and palliative care specialists.
  • Participate in regular Tumor Board meetings for complex case reviews.
  • Coordinate follow-up care and long-term surveillance plans for cancer survivors.
  • Professional and Clinical Development:
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation.
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in oncology, research, and treatment protocols.

  • Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a Residency program in [Internal Medicine/General Surgery/Radiation Oncology or other relevant field].
  • Successful completion of a Fellowship in [Medical Oncology/Hematology-Oncology/Surgical Oncology/Radiation Oncology].
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in [Relevant Sub-Specialty].
  • Active and unrestricted State Medical License in [State] (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • DEA registration.
  • Proven clinical experience as an Oncologist is highly preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • A compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹150, ₹250,000.00 per month
