About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Apache NiFi Developer to join our data engineering team. The candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and managing data flows using Apache NiFi, with strong knowledge in data ingestion, transformation, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data flows using Apache NiFi.
  • Integrate NiFi with external systems including databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and messaging queues.
  • Implement data flow monitoring, troubleshooting, and error-handling.
  • Optimize data pipeline performance and throughput.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop reusable NiFi templates, processors, and components.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation.
  • Maintain and improve NiFi cluster performance and stability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven production experience with Apache NiFi.
  • Strong understanding of data formats like JSON, XML, Avro, CSV, and Parquet.
  • Proficiency in integrating NiFi with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and big data systems (HDFS, Hive).
  • Experience with NiFi Registry, Git, and DevOps tools.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, or Shell.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of security protocols like SSL/TLS, OAuth, Kerberos, and secure data transfer methods.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with NiFi clustering and high-availability setups.
  • Knowledge of NiFi Expression Language and custom processor development.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT workflows and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with other integration tools like Apache Kafka or Apache Airflow.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years in data engineering or software development, with at least 1–2 years in Apache NiFi.
