Role Overview

The Packaging Design & Technical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing packaging solutions that ensure product protection, cost efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

The role combines creative packaging design with technical engineering expertise to support product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions.
  • Create technical drawings, specifications, and packaging BOMs.
  • Conduct packaging material selection, testing, and validation.
  • Optimize packaging for cost, sustainability, logistics, and manufacturability.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for packaging development.
  • Support new product development (NPD) and product launch activities.
  • Ensure packaging compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
  • Perform packaging trials, line trials, and transit testing.
  • Troubleshoot packaging-related production issues.
  • Maintain packaging documentation and change management records.
