Purpose of the Job:

The Solution Architect will be responsible for the design of the business technical solutions with an application and integration approach, ensuring that it aligns with the IT Strategy and business needs. They will apply their knowledge of good architecture practice, architecture documentation, and application platform technologies to comprehensively capture Magnati's current state holistic application architecture and oversee target state design and implementation. They will participate.

Main Duties:

• Create solution architecture artifacts that are consistent with architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices with a goal of resilient and scalable cloud based solutions.
• Work with cross-domain SMEs and developers to ensure software builds meet system, functional, and performance requirements and adhere to company policies such as security and privacy
• Design and refactor the company's Payment Services platform.
• Conduct POC & POV on potential solutions with a failure-fast mindset to drive the target state.
• Architect large-scale target state Payment systems end to end, and with hands-on expertise.
• Collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to develop strategic architecture solutions that align with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, and future industry demand.
• Build common business functions and capabilities within the payment ecosystem to simplify technology footprint and faster time to market
• Own and drive solution evaluation and build vs buy/partner analysis.
• Communicate technology vision, strategies, and solutions communities cross functional teams.
• Provide expert knowledge of architecture and serve as SMI to cross-functional teams.
• Active learner of technological innovations, payments industry trends, and competitor landscape.
• Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements like ISO, PCI DSS, NESA, etc.,
• Supporting ongoing projects, such as expansion in new countries, integration, and procurement, with Card Payment & e-commerce expertise.

Knowledge and experience:

• Broad experience in digital payment solutions.
• Hands-on on Authorization, Clearing and Settlement Systems, Merchant Onboarding, Payout application, Cardholder (Issuing) Processing. Acquiring and Payments
• Card payments: Understanding of issuers, acquirers, and card schemes, interchange, cardholder authentication,
• Understanding of payment switching, routing, use of cryptography, PIN operations, contact, and contactless protocols.
• Emerging payment technologies: Understanding of emerging developments such as Open Banking, new payment rails, digital payments, new payment channels such as wallets, smart Points of Sale and ATMs, real-time cross border, blockchain-enabled crypto payments, central bank digital currencies, data in payments and financial crime developments.
• Broad experience with technical modelling and documentation (Data Flow, Diagrams, Network Diagrams, Software Architecture Documents, etc.)
• Experience with PCI DSS and/or other corresponding payment security protocols.
• Ability to communicate about solutions and possible challenges on both conceptual and technical levels in speech and writing in English and preferably Arabic.
• Expertise in building solutions with microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native principles.
• Skills in inclusively designing complex architecture solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to influence other design parties (business stakeholders, technical architects, software developers, third-party suppliers), to reconcile technical and business considerations to arrive at the optimal solution.
• Ability to translate business strategies into technical solutions and identify business transformation opportunities.
• Ability to model and analyse business and operating models.
• Experience working with internal and external suppliers.
• Experience in identifying and managing risk.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
• 8 + years of experience spanning IT disciplines of technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations
• Led the development of complex application architectures in modern compute paradigms i.e. cloud, microservices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the confidence to deliver ideas clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
