About the Company:

CareerNaksha is an ed-tech venture based in Vadodara, Gujarat, incubated at the The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and driven by alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs and MSU. They specialise in providing data-driven, psychometric based career guidance to students and professionals, and also engage in social service and outreach programmes for under-privileged communities.

Role Summary:

As a Social Work Intern at CareerNaksha, you will support the company's social impact initiatives, outreach programmes, community engagement efforts and educational assistance activities. You will work closely with our social outreach team to help implement, monitor and evaluate projects aimed at student welfare, career awareness, and community development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organising and executing social outreach campaigns, workshops or seminars in schools/colleges, especially in under-served communities.
• Support student counselling & awareness sessions: help coordinate logistics, attendees, feedback, data collection.
• Participate in community engagement efforts: interacting with students, parents, teachers in schools, educational institutions or NGOs.
• Help with the collection, entry and basic analysis of program data (e.g., attendance, feedback, impact metrics).
• Contribute to the creation of social-impact content: presentation materials, brochures, reports, case-studies, photographs/videos.
• Assist in identifying potential partner schools/NGOs, arranging meetings, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support administration of social service programmes (for example, free career counselling drives, educational accessory distribution) under the company's foundation or CSR wing. Scribd
• Document findings, write short reports on outreach activity outcomes and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with the team in scheduling, communication, and ensuring compliance with any programme policies or standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Pursuing or completed a degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Education, or any related discipline.
• Passionate about social service, community outreach, youth education and career development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written); comfortable interacting with students and community stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive, with an ability to manage multiple small tasks (logistics, coordination, reporting).
• Basic computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel), Google Sheets, PowerPoint; familiarity with data entry or survey tools is a plus.
• Ability to travel locally within Vadodara and nearby areas for outreach events.
• Team-oriented, flexible, able to adapt in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Prior volunteering or social outreach experience is desirable but not mandatory.
