Job Title: Site/Project Engineer – Civil

Department: Projects / Engineering

Location: Thoraipakkam / Chennai

Reporting To: Site Engineer / Project Manager

Job Purpose:

To assist in supervising civil construction activities at the site, ensuring work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and within the scheduled time frame.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring daily site activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate with site workers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure work is carried out in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Verify and maintain records of materials received and used at site.
  • Assist in setting out, leveling, and surveying site works.
  • Support in preparing daily progress reports and submitting to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
  • Monitor proper usage of manpower, materials, and machinery at site.
  • Ensure execution of work as per drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications.
  • Report any discrepancies, delays, or issues to the senior site engineer/project manager.
  • Coordinate with the Quality and Safety team to maintain standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma / B.E in Civil Engineering.
  • 0–2 years of site execution experience (freshers may also apply).
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and understand civil drawings and measurements.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work at project sites.
