Deputy General Manager Research And Development

Role & responsibilities
- Development of new emulsion-based synthetic latex/rubber products.
- Innovating new products/processes for existing and upcoming business opportunities.
- Scale-up of new products in pilot plant and extend support to commercial production.
- Drive cost reduction, process modifications, and quality improvements.
- Vendor development, customer visits, and technical support.
- Explore and develop new applications for business expansion.
- Resource and data management for R&D projects.
- Collaborate with business and manufacturing teams as required.
- Oversee quality systems management for R&D.
- Manage laboratory operations and ensure team development.
- Drive intellectual property (IP) generation and management.
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in Polymer Science (preferred).
- 10 15 years of relevant experience, especially in emulsion polymerization and synthetic rubbers.
- Preferred Age: 40 – 45 years.
Desired Technical Skillsets
- Strong expertise in product development/improvement in rubber and latex.
- Experience in new product development, market input/forecasting.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, TPM, and Responsible Care (RC) standards.
- Proficiency in safe handling of chemicals and instrumentation.
Soft Skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Analytical ability with a structured problem-solving approach.
- Proven ability in team building, leadership, and motivating cross-functional teams.
