Waiter / Steward

Job Summary:The Restaurant Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to guests, ensuring a pleasant and memorable experience at Hotel Taj Restaurant. The role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering high standards of hospitality in line with the Taj brand.

• Key Responsibilities:Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and make recommendations when requested.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve dishes and drinks efficiently and courteously following hotel service standards.
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and well-presented at all times.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and report major issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and follow hygiene and safety protocols.
• Assist in billing and payment procedures accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and smooth service.
• Support other team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Qualifications and Skills:Minimum qualification: SSLC / HSC or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a hotel or fine-dining restaurant preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Pleasant personality and professional grooming.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
