Job Summary:
The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for fostering the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children aged 2–5 years. The role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment through age-appropriate activities, lessons, and play-based learning. The ideal candidate should be passionate about early childhood education and possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement engaging lesson plans and learning activities based on early childhood curriculum standards
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Use play-based and experiential learning techniques to teach foundational concepts (e.g., numbers, letters, shapes, colors)
Monitor and assess each child's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
Promote good habits in hygiene, manners, and behavior
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and development
Maintain classroom hygiene, safety, and order at all times
Prepare teaching materials, classroom displays, and participate in school events and functions
Collaborate with co-teachers, assistants, and school administration for curriculum planning and continuous improvement
Ensure the emotional and physical well-being of all children under your care
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field
(Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Montessori Training is acceptable for some roles)
1–3 years of teaching experience in a pre-primary or preschool setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices
Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude
Fluency in English (or local language, as required by the institution)
Preferred Skills:
Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or other early childhood education certifications
Basic computer skills (for online learning or record keeping)
Ability to conduct virtual classes when required
Familiarity with phonics-based learning and storytelling techniques
