Job description

Work as a senior technical member of a team responsible for building cloud-based applications to digitize and empower the agricultural supply chain. You will apply your knowledge of building scalable, distributed applications and have the opportunity to work with new technologies & frameworks such as C# (.NET Framework), Javascript Framework like Anguler, Typescript and

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following.

You will be expected to:

  • Produce well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
  • Learn the underlying technical architecture of our web applications, and be able to analyze change requests and the impacts of the changes to determine how to accomplish them
  • Develop and maintain JavaScript-based SPAs and .Net programs
  • Develop and maintain SQL objects, especially complex stored procedures and functions
  • Conduct daily written and verbal interaction with the development team and with customers to interpret requirements, designing, defining and implementing solutions
  • Perform deployment testing and troubleshoot issues with new deployments
  • Be a very strong team player who knows what has to be done and takes the initiative to ensure the success of the team and the customer
  • Collect and review specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Prepare and maintain software documentation
  • Maintain, expand, and scale our platform as assigned
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
  • Work together with web designers to match visual design intent

Requirements

Key technical expertise areas expected for this role:

  • Experience with JavaScript-based SPAs, Sencha or Angular. Sencha experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Typescript and , JavaScript,, C#, .Net
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server programming
  • Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
  • Demonstrable ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks quickly
  • Experience with modern cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP

Additional areas that would add value:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to operate individually and as part of a team; effectively set expectations, manage work and deliver results

  • Good experience with relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
  • Excellent knowledge of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices

  • Good ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
