Job Title: Account Director Public Relations & Communications

Overview:

We are seeking a senior communications leader with 12+ years of experience in managing high-impact public relations and reputation management programs across diverse sectors. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and trusted client advisor, skilled at managing complex mandates, leading teams, and driving measurable reputation outcomes for large Indian and global brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic communication programs for clients across sectors such as Corporate, Financial Services, Technology, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Consumer.
  • Serve as a senior counselor to CXO-level clients, providing insight-led advisory on brand reputation, media engagement, and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop and execute integrated communication strategies by collaborating with internal teams across content, media, digital, and analytics.
  • Strengthen media relations by building and nurturing relationships with senior journalists, editors, and influencers to secure high-impact coverage across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
  • Oversee issue and crisis communication, offering proactive guidance and rapid response solutions to safeguard client reputation.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives, including leadership communication, whitepapers, op-eds, and speaking platforms that position clients as industry leaders.
  • Ensure operational excellence, managing account budgets, timelines, KPIs, and consistently delivering work that meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and accountability.
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities within existing accounts and leading new business pitches.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or reputation management across diverse industries.
  • Proven ability to manage large and complex client portfolios and lead strategic communication programs with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of media dynamics, stakeholder ecosystems, and evolving digital communication trends.
  • Demonstrated success in crisis management, executive visibility, and strategic media engagement.
  • Exceptional client leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experienced in leading teams, managing budgets, and delivering high standards of client service.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-sector environment, balancing strategy, execution, and team leadership.
