Principal Accountabilities:

  • Rule Deck Management:
  • Adapt, update, enhance, QA, and release Foundry-provided DRC, LVS, Parasitic Extraction (PEX), and PERC rule decks for internal use.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Develop, run, and maintain test cases for DRC/LVS and other physical verification (PV) flows.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide in-depth PV and PEX support to internal Analog and Digital Design teams across various technology nodes.

Core Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • 8+ years in DRC/LVS rule deck development and support.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with
    Calibre SVRF
    (Silicon Verification Rule Format).
  • Strong debugging skills, especially in PV, layout, and parasitic extraction flows.
  • Tool Proficiency:
  • Required:
  • Calibre (Mentor/Siemens) for DRC/LVS/PEX
  • SVRF rule coding
  • Tcl scripting
  • Preferred/Good to Have:
  • Pegasus / PVS (Cadence tools)
  • Perl, Python scripting
  • Calibre PERC (e.g., P2P/CD checks)
  • Experience with flows for RDSON, EMIR
  • Familiarity with Virtuoso-L, Virtuoso-XL (schematic/layout tools)
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of CMOS fundamentals

  • Knowledge of
    parasitic effects
    in IC design
  • Soft Skills:

  • Eagerness to learn new CAD tools and methodologies

  • Experience with:
  • Calibre PERC for reliability checks (e.g., ESD, P2P, CD)
  • EMIR or power integrity analysis tools
  • Custom flows or automation for tape-out and sign-off processes
