About the Team

The Senior Staff Enterprise Architect will join the Nutanix Professional Services Enterprise Architecture team, a collective of highly skilled architects located in the APJ region. This team is characterized by a collaborative and innovative culture, fostering a spirit of continuous learning and professional growth. Their mission is to lead the design and development of modern Hybrid Cloud solutions that empower their customers, guiding them through the complexities of enterprise cloud transformations, whether embarking on new initiatives or migrating existing infrastructure.

You will report to the Director of Professional Services, who is known for their hands-on leadership style and commitment to team empowerment and mentorship. This role offers a hybrid work setup, where the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week, allowing for a blend of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility.

The position entails about 25% travel, primarily focusing on customer engagements across India, with potential secondary coverage across the APAC region and other global locations as required. This travel is essential for facilitating in-depth discussions and providing tailored solutions to meet specific customer needs.

Your Role

• Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of modern Hybrid Cloud solutions on the Nutanix Cloud Platform.
• Engage in technical pre-sales discussions with customers and collaborate with account teams to identify and develop high-level solutions.
• Contribute to the development of statements of work (SOW) and provide technical leadership on large-scale projects.
• Mentor and guide aspiring consultants and architects within the Professional Services team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Drive Practice Development initiatives to ensure best-in-class documentation and delivery processes within the team.
• Communicate effectively with C-Level executives to establish trusted advisor relationships with enterprise customers.
• Coordinate with Product Management and Engineering to translate customer requirements and feedback for product improvements.
• Achieve Nutanix Certified Expert (NCX) and Nutanix Platform Architect (NPX) certifications within the first two years.

What You Will Bring

• 10+ years of experience in architecting and deploying large-scale solutions.
• Deep understanding of virtualization, containerization, and software-defined data center architectures.
• Experience in designing and managing Private, Public, and Hybrid Multi-cloud environments (e.g. Nutanix, AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage C-Level executives and act as a trusted advisor.
• Proficiency in leading technical pre-sales discussions and contributing to Practice Development.
• Self-motivated with the ability to develop strategies and drive execution in a flexible environment.
• Solid understanding of backup/disaster recovery, automation, security, and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with architecture frameworks (e.g., NPX, NCX, VCDX, TOGAF) is advantageous.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. Most roles, like this one, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however flexibility is expected when situation arises for additional face time in the office. For example for project meetings, customer meetings, training, etc. 25-50% Travel is expected across major cities in India.
