Job Overview

The Mother Teacher Grades 2‑3 is responsible for nurturing and educating students in Grade 2 and Grade 3, creating a caring, supportive, and stimulating environment in line with Kothari International School's values. This role involves facilitating holistic development — academic, emotional, social, and creative — through well‑planned lessons, differentiated instruction, and close parent‑teacher collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Academic Teaching & Learning
  • Plan, prepare, and implement daily lesson plans in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies / Science, Social Studies, and other required subjects, aligned with the school's curriculum.
  • Use a variety of teaching methodologies (interactive, inquiry‑based learning, hands‑on activities) to engage students and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet needs of students who may be above standard, at standard, or needing extra support
  • Classroom Management & Environment
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and stimulating classroom environment with suitable displays, learning resources, and materials.
  • Integrate technology and teaching aids where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) or equivalent from a recognized institution. (Candidates pursuing B.Ed may be considered, depending on experience and school policy.)
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching Grades 1‑3 or similar early primary grades. (Preferably in CBSE or comparable curriculum.)
  • Strong command of English; proficiency in local / regional language(s) may be helpful.
