Job Description
Tech Lead Android Framework Job Description:

  • Android Framework and Native development and customizations
  • Must have worked on Android framework customization extensively
  • Excellent in Java and/or C++, Android SDK, Android NDK
  • Android KPI, Boot and Memory optimizations
  • Experience in converting Android HIDL to AIDL interfaces implementation and customizations
  • Android CTS and VTS debugging and issue fixing
  • Interface with Various Domains within Android Product Line to achieve Stability metrics.
  • Understanding the customer requirements
  • Ensure the delivery of features in scope, time and quality.
  • Report status, issues and progress of the SW development to the management
  • Effort estimation for Change Requests from Product Management
  • Ensure pre-integration testing and verification for the functional area and its features. Android Framework

Skills Required:

  • 8+ years of experience on embedded systems, with focus on Android Framework and Native development
  • Strong Java, C++ programming skills
  • Good understanding of Android HALs (HIDL and AIDL)
  • Knowledge of Android Boot Sequence and various Framework module architecture.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting issues on a run-time environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Android System concepts
  • Debugging Android ROMs, ANR, Blank screen and crashes
  • Should have experience in Android development and debugging robust systems
  • Proficient in multi-threaded programming and middleware solution development in an Android environment. Strong in fundamentals of IPC and OS concepts.
  • Creative problem-solver
  • Good experience in Android internals
  • Android build, porting and customization experience
  • System level debugging
  • Experience in system integration for automotive infotainment systems is preferred
