Description of Role -

• This role sits within a high-performing global engineering team focused on delivering scalable, secure, and user-centric digital platforms. The team is responsible for building and maintaining enterprise-grade applications that support business-critical operations and customer-facing services.
• As part of a growing technology function, this role contributes to solution architecture, technical leadership, and hands-on development across the full stack.
• The Senior Full Stack Developer / Technical Lead will lead the design, development, and delivery of robust web applications using Java, , and Spring Boot. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring best practices are followed across architecture, coding standards, testing, and deployment.
• The role also supports platform upgrades, performance optimization, and customer issue resolution.

Skills & Technologies -

• Backend: Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture
• Frontend: , Redux/Context API, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Design
• Databases: NoSQL (CosmosDB preferred)
• DevOps/Tools: Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Docker, Kubernetes
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Cypress/Jest, Postman
• Cloud Platforms: AWS or Azure (preferred)
• Experience with message brokers (Azure Service Bus / Event Hub)
• Familiarity with GraphQL APIs
• Exposure to Apache Camel
• Knowledge of security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SSO integration)

Key outcomes and accountabilities -

• Deliver high-quality High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation for platform features.
• Define scalable and secure UI/backend implementation strategies.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to shape intuitive UX workflows.
• Lead upgrade and maintenance efforts for the Karavan web application.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions through stakeholder engagement.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Define test strategies and quality benchmarks for frontend and backend components.
• Conduct code reviews and functional validations to ensure maintainability and performance.
• Recommend and implement performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Lead feature discovery, scope estimation, and development planning and Prioritize and manage feature delivery aligned with business goals.
• Oversee release planning, execution, and post-deployment validation and Ensure timely, high-quality delivery across distributed teams.
• Provide expert-level Java support for iHub platform services.
• Resolve critical production issues and support L3 escalations.
• Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure smooth resolution of platform-related concerns.

Pre-requisites -

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in software design, development, and delivery.
• Proven track record of leading full-stack development projects in enterprise environments.
• Experience working in agile teams and delivering solutions using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Prior exposure to cloud-native development and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and engage with stakeholders.
• High level of accountability, ownership, and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
