A Compliance Specialist responsible for internal and client audits ensures that an organization adheres to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. They conduct audits, assess risks, and implement compliance programs to maintain integrity and mitigate potential risks. This role also involves policy development, training, reporting, and regulatory monitoring. 

They ensure that an organization adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. They monitor, document, and analyze compliance activities, advise leadership, and liaise with regulatory bodies. Key responsibilities include identifying and mitigating risks, developing compliance programs, providing training, and investigating and resolving issues.

Compliance Specialists need to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions.

They must communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including employees, management, and regulatory agencies.

They maintain accurate records of compliance activities and documentation. 

  • Advisory Role:

They provide guidance and advice to management and staff on compliance matters. 

  • Communication:

They may communicate with regulatory agencies or external auditors regarding compliance issues.
