Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bodyshop Manager to oversee and manage the bodyshop operations at our Tata Heritage Kamothe service center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality repair work, managing a team of technicians, meeting customer satisfaction goals, and achieving business targets in line with Tata Motors' standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the bodyshop department including accident repairs, denting, painting, and insurance claim processing.
- Ensure timely and high-quality repair services in line with Tata Motors guidelines and customer expectations.
- Coordinate with insurance surveyors, assessors, and customers for accident and claim-related jobs.
- Monitor job progress, TAT (Turnaround Time), and ensure adherence to delivery timelines.
- Supervise bodyshop technicians and painters, ensuring productivity, discipline, and skill development.
- Manage inventory of paints, consumables, and body parts.
- Conduct quality checks on repairs before vehicle delivery.
- Maintain proper documentation and reports as per company and OEM standards.
- Drive CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) and ensure customer delight.
- Ensure health, safety, and cleanliness protocols are followed in the workshop area.
- Manage cost control, wastage reduction, and profit margins of bodyshop operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate/Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in bodyshop operations, preferably with an authorized service center.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of accident repair estimation and insurance procedures.
- Proficiency in DMS (Dealer Management System), Estimation Tools (e.g., Audatex), and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and customer handling skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience with Tata Motors service centers is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with TMS (Tata Motors Systems) and Tata Bodyshop Process Guidelines.
