**Position Title**: Personal Accountant
**Location**: Bhopal
**Employment Type**: Full-time
Role Overview
The Personal Accountant will be directly responsible for managing and overseeing the personal and family financial matters of the Directors. This includes personal investments, assets, taxation, expenditure monitoring, compliance with statutory requirements, and preparation of financial reports. The role demands the highest level of confidentiality, accuracy, and trustworthiness.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Financial Management
Maintain detailed accounts of the Directors' personal income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual personal financial statements and cash flow reports.
Manage household budgets, staff salaries, and family-related expenditures.
Investments & Wealth Management
Track and monitor investments (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, fixed deposits, etc.).
- Prepare reports on portfolio performance and suggest adjustments as per market trends.
Coordinate with investment advisors, banks, and wealth managers.
Taxation & Compliance
Prepare and file personal income tax returns of the Directors and family members.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and maintain all relevant documentation.
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Asset & Property Management
Maintain records of immovable properties, vehicles, jewelry, and other assets.
- Handle property-related payments such as EMIs, maintenance, insurance, and utility bills.
Coordinate with real estate agents, property managers, and legal advisors for asset-related matters.
Banking & Treasury Management
Manage multiple personal bank accounts, loans, and credit facilities.
- Oversee all payments, receipts, and fund transfers on behalf of the Directors.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely settlements.
Confidentiality & Reporting
Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and personal information.
- Provide accurate, timely, and well-structured financial reports directly to the Directors.
- Ensure systematic record keeping and secure documentation of financial data.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of personal finance, taxation, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and discretion.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to coordinate with banks, auditors, and external agencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (CA / CMA / CPA) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, taxation, or wealth management.
