Job Title: Assistant Professor -Commerec & Management

Department: Management

Location: Jakkanahalli, Nelamangala ,Bangalore

Reports To: Head of the Department / Principal

Job Purpose:

To teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of Commerce and Management, engage in academic research, contribute to curriculum development, mentor students, and participate in departmental and institutional activities to support academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Learning
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars in Commerce and Management subjects.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and case studies.
  • Use innovative pedagogical methods including technology-enabled teaching.
  • Evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects.
  • Research & Publications
  • Undertake individual and collaborative research in Commerce, Management, and related fields.
  • Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
  • Seek external research funding where possible.
  • Curriculum Development
  • Contribute to the design, revision, and updating of syllabi to align with industry trends and academic standards.
  • Develop case studies, simulation exercises, and practical exposure modules.
  • Student Mentorship & Guidance
  • Guide students in academic projects, dissertations, and internships.
  • Provide career counseling, mentoring, and academic support.
  • Administrative & Institutional Contribution
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
  • Assist in accreditation, quality assurance, and other academic processes.
  • Organize seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and industry interaction programs.
  • Professional Development
  • Stay updated with developments in Commerce, Economics, and Management.
  • Engage in faculty development programs, workshops, and training.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Commerce/Management/Business Administration (MBA/M.Com or equivalent) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
  • NET/SET/Ph.D. as per UGC norms (mandatory as per regulatory guidelines).
  • Strong academic and research orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.

Desirable:

  • Ph.D. in Commerce/Management or pursuing Ph.D.
  • Prior teaching/research experience in reputed institutions.
  • Industry experience in relevant domains.
  • Publications in UGC/Scopus-indexed journals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25, ₹65,000.00 per month
