Job Description

The role involves extensive hands-on activities. Here are key job responsibilities:

  • Understand the Payments industry and where Visa Direct fits in the payment's ecosystem
  • Understand the business initiatives and their importance to the growth of Visa Direct.
  • Develop a good understanding of the Visa Direct technology platform.
  • Collaborate with product owners and technical staff globally to define requirements for new features and enhancements to the platform.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively within the team as well as across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide QA input into delivery of features and stories – estimation and sizing.
  • Question and think outside of acceptance criteria to identify exception scenarios, error states, etc.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of the testing and automation efforts.
  • Take ownership and lead the test engineering responsibility for multiple components of the platform.
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers from various locations and ensure smooth delivery of releases.
  • Ability to identify and manage risks at all stages of the project.
  • Adherence to practices such as test coverage, open defect counts, continuous integration, code reviews, code quality and shift left practices.
  • Stay up to date with new testing approaches, tools, technologies, and test strategies.
  • Drive improvements in processes and frameworks across the team.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

As we embark on the journey to build this platform, we are looking for a Staff Software Test Engineer who can participate in the detailed design and development activities for this product build.
