Warehouse Manager

Role & responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management

• Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day warehouse operations for paper finished goods.
• Ensure proper storage, stacking, and handling of paper reels/reams to avoid damage.
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO principles and ensure adherence to dispatch schedules.

Inventory & Documentation

• Oversee physical stock management, location management, and ensure system stock accuracy.
• Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliations with ERP/WMS.
• Monitor and report on stock movement, age, and slow/non-moving inventory.

Dispatch & Logistics Coordination

• Ensure timely dispatches as per sales/dispatch plan.
• Coordinate with logistics, and sales teams for vehicle scheduling and order planning.
• Verify loading/receiving processes, documentation (GRN, Order pickings, Delivery Challans, Invoices, E-Way Bills).

People Management

• Supervise warehouse staff, forklift operators, and contract labor.
• Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure proper training on warehouse SOPs.
• Enforce compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Compliance & Safety

• Maintain warehouse hygiene, fire safety, and material handling best practices.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company guidelines (safety, ISO, 5S, etc.).
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse operations.
