A Senior Civil Estimation Engineer's job involves preparing accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects by analyzing plans and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, and analyzing costs for labor, materials, and equipment. This senior role also includes reviewing estimates, managing budgets, coordinating with project management, and often involves leading or mentoring a team. Key responsibilities include creating detailed estimates, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to provide a solid financial foundation for projects.

Key responsibilities

· Cost Estimation:

Create detailed, accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing architectural and engineering drawings, technical specifications, and scope of work.

· Quantity Take-offs:

Perform detailed material and component take-offs, and delegate or cross-check quantity surveys.

· Rate Analysis:

Develop and maintain rate analysis for various construction items, often based on government and industry standards like DSR PWD/CPWD.

· Budget Management:

Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all financial aspects are calculated and that projects stay within budget.

· Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project management, sales, and other design team members to ensure accurate and complete proposals and project planning.

· Review and Analysis:

Evaluate changes and review estimations to ensure accurate project costs, and assess costs for labor, materials, and equipment.

· Proposal Preparation:

Prepare proposal documents with proper inclusions and exclusions and, in some cases, handle customized solutions.

· Technical Review:

Review and assist in preparing various engineering documents like site plans, grading plans, utility plans, and cost estimates.

· Mentorship:

Guide and support junior engineers and technical staff.

Required skills and qualifications

· Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods.

· Proficiency with relevant software, including AutoCAD, MS Office, and cost estimation.

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and presentation skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Knowledge of industry trends, standards, and regulations.

· Experience with handling large or complex projects is often preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40, ₹75,000.00 per month
