Company:Qualcomm India Private LimitedJob Area:Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software EngineeringGeneral Summary:The APSS Product Engineer (PE) plays a very important role in Qualcomm's product lifecycle, particularly within the Linux, Android, RTOS and Multimedia domains. This role requires deep technical expertise and strong leadership to drive end-to-end software deliverables and cross-functional collaboration.Key Responsibilities•   Manage lifecycle of software deliverables from concept stage to end-of-life (EOL)•  Primary point of contact for Zephyr product team and external stakeholders•  Lead efforts to bring up Linux/RTOS on embedded devices•  Lead efforts of Integration of different software components.•  Participate in the design, implementation, and debugging of system-level features• Adapt and integrate forward-looking Linux/RTOS features and debugging functionalities into Qualcomm platformsMinimum Requirements•  Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience•  Working experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr/Other RTOS) and Yocto.•   2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python•   Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle•   Expertise in build, integration, and release management (GNU Make, Android, Yocto, Git)•   Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python)•   Experience in Linux/Yocto/RTOS build systems and integration tools•   Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for Linux system-level issues•   Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision•  Hands-on experience in the above areas preferredGood to Have• Experience in Linux/RTOS CI development and build system enhancements•  Knowledge of AI/ML algorithms•  Experience in planning and executing product software integration, testing, and releaseMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
