Responsibilities:
  • Ingesting data from a variety of on-prem and cloud data sources.
  • Translates business problem into analytics problem and chooses right tools and methodology
  • Perform transformations in the Power BI query editor using a mixture of UI and M code.
  • Utilizing navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill-through) to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story.
  • Provide technical support and guidance through prototyping, testing, building, and launch of Power BI products.
  • Data Modelling and developing calculations in DAX which are performant on large datasets.
  • Designing effective layouts using Data Visualization best practices.
  • Undertaking data analyses to support decision-making.
  • Develop production-ready Reports and dashboards and deploy them to the corporate platform.
  • Work in Dev-Ops environment for solution delivery and CICD mechanism.
  • Integrate Power BI in complex existing front-end applications through Embedded.

  • A track record of working in an agile environment (Scrum)
  • Experience in working at all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Custom visuals understanding and Dynamic reporting
  • Best practices in data modeling and performance-oriented apps
  • Power BI embedded skills
  • Can confidently construct/code features in Power BI and has a growing understanding of trade-offs in following different approaches
  • Can deliver a Power BI workstream end to end with limited guidance from colleagues
  • Proficient user of relevant Power BI libraries including effective use of a pipe-lining framework
  • Can create bespoke Power BI charts using custom visuals AppSources (for example Microsoft Charticulator)
  • Writes high-quality, efficient and scalable, and well-documented PowerBI code
  • Checks own work using best practice model validation/QA approach
  • Good understanding of risks and growing understanding of how to mitigate
