About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Editor with deep expertise in podcast editing, storytelling, and brand-based content creation.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands both creative direction and technical execution, ensuring every episode, video, or social asset reflects high-quality production and emotional impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Podcast & Audio Production

  • Lead the editing and post-production of all Life Talks with KP episodes and related podcasts.
  • Manage audio clarity, background scoring, and narrative flow.
  • Oversee sound mixing, leveling, and mastering for Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube distribution.

2. Content Direction & Storytelling

  • Collaborate with hosts, guests, and production team to shape episode stories.
  • Edit long-form conversations into engaging, audience-friendly formats.
  • Maintain consistent tone, pacing, and quality across all episodes.

3. Video Editing (Reels & Carousels)

  • Supervise short-form content derived from podcast footage (Reels, Shorts, etc.).
  • Ensure brand alignment for cross-platform promotion (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).

4. Creative Supervision

  • Mentor junior editors, sound engineers, and designers.
  • Review and approve all edits before final publishing.
  • Maintain the brand's visual and audio consistency across all content types.

5. Workflow & Process

  • Design and manage the post-production pipeline (from raw footage to final delivery).
  • Coordinate with designers, copywriters, and social media managers for timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure all content meets KP Media Group's quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in editing, sound design, or podcast production.
  • Proficient in tools like Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong command of storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Background in media, television, podcasting, or digital storytelling preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in health, wellness, business, or inspirational podcast genres.
  • Familiarity with YouTube optimization and social media repurposing.
  • Degree in Mass Communication, Film Studies, or related field.
