Job Summary:
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ICT is responsible for providing in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of Information and Communication Technology. The SME will play a crucial role in developing, reviewing, and validating educational content, ensuring it meets curriculum standards and addresses the needs of learners. This role involves close collaboration with instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and other team members to create high-quality, engaging, and accurate educational resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Content Expertise:
Provide specialized knowledge and insights in ICT for content development. - Ensure the accuracy, relevancy, and comprehensiveness of the content.
- 2. Content Creation:
Develop and author educational content, including lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and digital resources. - Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with educational standards and curriculum requirements.
- 3. Review and Validation:
Review and validate educational content produced by the content development team. - Ensure alignment with curriculum standards and adherence to educational best practices.
- 4. Curriculum Alignment:
Align educational content with curriculum objectives and specified learning outcomes. - Ensure content appropriateness for targeted grade levels and specific learner needs.
- 5. Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough research on ICT topics to gather relevant data and insights. - Analyze current trends and advancements in ICT to integrate into content development.
- 6. Multimedia Integration:
Incorporate multimedia elements like images, videos, and interactive activities into content. - Collaborate with graphic designers and multimedia specialists to enhance visual content.
- 7. Collaboration:
Work closely with instructional designers and other team members to develop comprehensive educational materials. - Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions.
- 8. Quality Assurance:
Perform quality checks and revisions based on feedback from reviewers and educators. - Ensure content is error-free and adheres to company and educational standards.
- 9. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance existing content and generate new content ideas. - Implement best practices and innovative approaches in content development.
- 10. Training and Support:
Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for educators on effective content usage. - Provide ongoing support and professional development to educators to enhance instructional practices.
- Conduct workshops and webinars to share knowledge and best practices in ICT.
- 11. Project Management:
Manage multiple content development projects concurrently. - Ensure timely delivery of high-quality content within specified deadlines.
- Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Proven experience in content development or teaching ICT subjects.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and educational best practices in ICT.
- Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.
- Proficiency in integrating multimedia and digital tools in educational content.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
