Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize integration solutions connecting multiple systems and platforms, with a strong focus on REST API development. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, independence, and a track record of delivering results in remote, globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and contribute to projects involving system-to-system integrations using REST APIs.
  • Maintain and evolve our Integration Framework to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, including schema design, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and artifacts within Azure.
  • Build and maintain lightweight front-end tools using Microsoft Blazor.
  • Produce clear, maintainable technical documentation.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to architectural decisions.

Core Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in software development, with 7+ years of hands-on C#/.NET experience (including .NET Core).
  • Expertise in REST API design, JSON handling, and Web API frameworks.
  • Strong front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database principles.
  • Experience with MS Entity Framework and/or Dapper ORM.
  • Solid grasp of OOP concepts and design patterns (Dependency Injection, MVC, Repository, Singleton, IoC).
  • Skilled in writing maintainable unit tests (xUnit or equivalent).
  • Proficient in Git or similar version control tools.
  • Background in requirements gathering, data mapping, and process modeling.
  • Knowledge of additional API protocols such as SOAP.

Additional Requirements – Remote Contractor Role

  • Proven ability to work effectively across time zones in a fully remote setting.
  • Strong self-management and accountability for deliverables.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace.
  • Experience working with global clients or distributed teams.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and data protection standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, or MS Teams.
  • Willingness to attend occasional meetings outside standard hours to accommodate global time zones.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
