Facilitate and manage the preparation, review, and accurate, timely filing of corporate tax returns for international entities, primarily across the EMEA and LATAM regions.
Assist in the preparation of U.S. state income tax returns (Forms 1120, 5471, and 8858) with proficient use of Thomson Reuters' OneSource platform.
Prepare advance tax, withholding tax, and deferred tax computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
Prepare tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 and perform detailed provision-to-return analyses.
Possess working knowledge of D365 and Blackline ERP systems (preferred).
Review and prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of international statutory books, accounting standards, and tax planning strategies.
Communicate effectively with onshore teams and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery of tax obligations.
Liaise with external and internal teams to coordinate the preparation and submission of required filing documents.
Collaborate with internal teams to manage information requests (IRs) for Audits and address queries from tax authorities in a timely manner.
Drive process efficiency and optimize resource utilization within the tax function.
Design and manage processes to ensure Tax calculations remain current with evolving jurisdictional requirements.
Lead process improvement initiatives through strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all tax-related processes.
The ideal candidate should be having 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in US/EMEA direct tax domain.
- Strong Tax research skills for tax regulation and ability to translate the research in to technically written tax memos
- Must be able to work with a high level of accuracy and demonstrate an analytical mind set
- Public accounting or prior experience working with a US multinational captive company is a plus.
- Knowledge of general ledger systems (preferably Oracle and D 365) and OneSource software
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
