Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
ElasticSearch Engineer
to join our team on a 6-month contract (extendable). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade search infrastructure to deliver high-performance, scalable, and intelligent search experiences. This role requires strong expertise in
ElasticSearch
, as well as
hands-on development experience in Java and Spring Boot microservices
.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable search solutions using ElasticSearch.
• Develop and integrate Java-based Spring Boot microservices to support search functionality.
• Optimize search performance, scalability, and relevance across diverse and complex datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective search strategies.
• Build and manage indexing pipelines, crawling mechanisms, and data transformation workflows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability and low-latency search infrastructure.
• Stay updated on the latest search technologies, ElasticSearch features, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with ElasticSearch in production environments.
• Strong understanding of search algorithms, relevancy tuning, and query optimization.
• Proven experience in Java and Spring Boot microservices development.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
• Experience with data indexing, crawling, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setup.
