Position: Junior CSOC Analyst

Location: Hyderabad(Work from Office)

Duration: 1 year contract

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts from various security tools and systems, including Windows environments and Antivirus solutions.
  • Administer and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security controls within Active Directory.
  • Support and troubleshoot basic networking components such as DHCP and DNS within the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Perform regular antivirus scans, updates, and incident response for detected threats.
  • Document and escalate potential security incidents as per SOC procedures.
  • Assist in routine audits and compliance checks relating to access controls, system activities, and configurations.
  • Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices relevant to core technologies such as Windows and network services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1 year of hands-on experience in cyber security operations, preferably within a SOC or IT helpdesk environment.
  • Basic working knowledge of Active Directory administration, DHCP configuration and troubleshooting, Windows server/client management, and Antivirus tools.
  • Familiarity with security incident monitoring and response processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with additional security tools such as SIEM platforms for log analysis and incident detection.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Command Line) for system administration tasks.
  • Fundamental knowledge in firewall rule management and basic networking concepts.
