Role & responsibilities

  1. Reviewing Raw Footage:


  2. • Watch and evaluate all video clips and materials to understand the content.

  3. • Identify the best shots and sequences to use.
    1. Editing and Assembling Clips:
  5. • Cut, trim, and arrange clips in a logical and appealing sequence.
  6. • Merge various audio, video, and graphics layers smoothly.
    1. Adding Effects and Transitions:
  8. • Incorporate visual effects, transitions, titles, and animations to enhance storytelling.
  9. • Use color correction and grading to improve image quality and mood.
    1. Synchronizing Audio and Video:
  11. • Align audio tracks (dialogue, music, sound effects) accurately with video.
  12. • Adjust volume levels, add sound effects or background music for impact.
    1. Collaborating with the Team:
  14. • Work closely with directors, producers, and other creatives to understand the vision.
  15. • Incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed.
    1. Ensuring Technical Quality:
  17. • Export videos in required formats and resolutions.
  18. • Ensure videos meet platform specifications and quality standards.
    1. Managing Project Files and Archives:
  20. • Organize footage, project files, and assets systematically.
  21. • Maintain backups and archive completed projects.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Background:

  • • Degree or diploma in Film, Media, Multimedia, Digital Arts, or a related field (preferred but not always mandatory).
  • • Relevant certifications or courses in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).

Technical Skills:

  • • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools like Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • • Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings.
  • • Basic sound editing skills and experience with audio software (e.g., Adobe Audition).
  • • Experience with color grading and correction.
