Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

  • Define and implement enterprise-wide network architecture for cloud-native platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Act as SME for perimeter security technologies including firewalls, WAFs, proxies, SDN, DNS, and DDoS.

Configuration & Troubleshooting

  • Plan, design, and integrate AWS and on-prem networking (AWS Control Tower, Cisco ACI, Palo Alto, F5).
  • Lead RCA and resolution of critical incidents; serve as final escalation point for network issues.
  • Implement DR and Chaos Engineering strategies; conduct periodic testing and performance tuning.

Automation & DevOps

  • Drive Network-as-Code practices using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, and Perl.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation in AWS and Linux environments.
  • Support GitLab deployments and DevOps workflows.

Security & Compliance

  • Apply security best practices to internal subnet protection, DMZ zoning, VLAN segregation.
  • Implement forensic visibility tools (e.g., NetBrain) for threat detection and incident response.
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements for voice, video, and data networks.

Operational Excellence

  • Own RTO/RPO strategies for network infrastructure.
  • Maintain physical and virtual network assets with timely patching and upgrades.
  • Create and maintain real-time network maps and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • AWS Networking
    : VPC, API Gateway, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, Cloud WAN
  • Firewalls
    : Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint
  • Load Balancers
    : F5 GTM/LTM, AWS ELB/ALB
  • SDN
    : Cisco ACI, leaf-spine architecture
  • Routing Protocols
    : BGP, EIGRP, OSPF; VLANs, VRFs, NAT/SNAT, IPSec VPN
  • Automation
    : Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, Perl

Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

  • Experience in rearchitecting data centers for AWS integration.
  • Proficiency in AWS Control Tower, Landing Zone setup, SCPs, OU structuring.

Security & Monitoring

  • Knowledge of SIEM, DLP, hybrid/cloud security environments.
  • Familiarity with tools like Panorama, Big-IQ, NetBrain.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Industry certifications
    in Routing, Switching, and Security (e.g., CCNP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Palo Alto Certified).
