Piping and Layout- Engineer-Gas

Job Location: Gurgaon

Position Overview:

Visualize and independently develop Equipment Layouts and Building General Arrangement and should have sufficient knowledge in Indian and International Codes and Standards (Design/Dimensional/Material Standards)

Primary Responsibility:

Layout Engineering:

· Should be able to visualize and independently develop Equipment Layouts and Building General Arrangement.

· Should be able to incorporate installation/erection/maintenance concepts in Equipment Layouts.

· Should be able to visualize interfaces between different disciplines.

· Should be able to develop Load Plan Drawings.

· Should be able to independently handle Plotplan preparation in coordination with all other disciplines.

Piping Engineering:

· Should have sufficient knowledge in Indian and International Codes and Standards (Design/Dimensional/Material Standards)

· Should have sufficient knowledge in Piping Materials.

· Should have experience in Pipe Wall thickness Calculations, Pressure Loss Calculations, preparation of Pipe Material Class, etc.

· Should have experience in preparation of documents like Piping design basis and Piping Specifications.

· Should be able to prepare Valve Specifications, Technical Bid Evaluations and Review of Client/Vendor documents as per contractual requirements.

· Should be able to plan pipe routing in buildings/buried areas/pipe racks keeping in mind all engineering practices, pipe supporting, code requirements, access and maintenance issues, etc.

· Should have experience in piping support engineering/design including use of variable spring hanger & constant spring hanger.

· Should have sufficient experience in extraction of Piping isometrics, Piping MTOs, Piping layout drawings, pipe support drawings.

· Should have sufficient knowledge in Piping Stress Analysis.

· Should have working knowledge of Piping Stress Analysis. Should be able to decipher as well review stress reports. Hands on working experience on Caesar II will be an added advantage.

Software Proficiency:

· Experience of working on 3D Plant Design software like S3D/PDMS/E3D/PDS etc. and know how on extraction of deliverables from the same.

· AutoCad

· MS Office tools

Other Requirements & Expectations:

· Should have a good command over English language. Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external parties is a must.

· Should be able to participate in meetings with Indian as well as international Clients/Vendors independently.

· Should be able to work in a Team environment and coordinate within the Team members.

· Should be able to perform lead/sub-lead roles in a project for piping and layout discipline.

· Should be prepared to work in variety of projects.

Your Profile:

· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· 10+ years of relevant professional experience

· Industry: Power / Oil and Gas

· Branch/Discipline: Mechanical / Piping & Layout

Special Attributes:

· Good communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Good Leadership skills to lead a group of engineers

· Self-disciplined and demonstrated capability to work in multiple projects as a team member/Project Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
