Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervision of over all nursing care of the patient.
  • Ensure proper admission, transfer, discharge and DAMA process for all the patients in the ward he patients.
  • Check Monitor, defibrillator, ventilator, syringe pump, pulse Oximeter, ABG, ECG machine.
  • Checkpatient dressing for any oozing and taking corrective measures.
  • Assist in procedure as and whenever is needed.
  • Check CPV and ABP line for any haematoma present or not and taking corrective measures.
  • Supervise of E.T. suction.
  • Supervise of Blood Transfusion.
  • Ensure proper drainage.
  • Check Oxygen cylinders , dressing trolley and crash trolley.
  • Supervise of attending call bell promptly.
  • Ensure proper mouthcare and backcare.
  • Encourage patients to use Spirometer.
  • Ensure safety,comfort,privacy and good personal hygiene of the patients.
  • Attend doctors round,assists in diagnosis and medical procedure.
  • Ensuring the implementation of the doctor's order.
  • Maintain nutritional needs of the patients.
  • Ensure proper administration of medications.
  • Supervise, and keep record of fumigation.
  • Keep a track of pointing out in the Billing Card of patient in case of any procedure or dressing.
  • Attend rounds with seniors.
  • Supervise maintaining records and reports.
  • Maintain Ward census to be correctly.
  • Deal properly with any adverse situation in ward, bring it to the notice of superiors and raise incidental report.
  • Supervise of return non consumed medicines before discharge of the patient.
  • Maintain proper record for medication error, adverse drug reaction, patient fall etc
  • Being in an emergency service like hospital, shall be ready to take up any assignment at any time whether day or night, when ever called for duty by the superiors.
  • Other assignments that may be instructed by the superior from time to time.
  • Assists patient with relatives to adjust in hospital routine.
  • Ensure proper death care and deceased handing over properly.

Qualifications
GNM or B.Sc. Nursing
