Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

· The Panel Wiring & Field Wiring Electrical Engineer is responsible for executing, supervising, and troubleshooting electrical field wiring activities at site. The role requires knowledge of energy metering, LV and HV panel wiring, power and control circuits, primary equipment wiring, and basic automation systems such as SCADA, RTU, and PLC. Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for installation and commissioning of SCADA and PLC panels at site

· Execute and supervise MFM, Trivector, AMR, Check, and Main Meter wiring

· Perform wiring for LV and HV panels, including line side and feeder side control circuits

· Carry out field wiring of CTs, PTs, Isolators, Circuit Breakers, Trip circuits, and Buchholz Relays

· Understand and implement power circuits and control circuits in panels and field equipment

· Knowledge of configuration and parameter setting of MFM (Multi-Function Meter), Trivector Meter, and AMR Meter, including communication settings and basic troubleshooting.

· Develop basic wiring logic for circuits based on functional requirements and drawings

· Execute wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of SCADA panels and PLC panels

· Possess basic knowledge of CT, PT, Transformer, Isolator, and Inverter operation and control wiring.

· Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, SLDs, and control schematics.

· Have basic knowledge of PLC systems, including DI, DO, AI, and AO signals wiring.

· Understand RS-485 and Ethernet communication used for meters, PLCs, RTUs, and SCADA systems.

· Execute cable laying, termination, glanding, ferruling, and proper cable labelling.

· Understand protection, metering, power and control schemes.

· Ensure correct wiring of power, control, protection, and metering circuits.

· Coordinate with site teams and contractors to complete work as per project schedule.

· Follow electrical safety standards, codes, and site procedures.

· Perform continuity checks, insulation resistance (IR) testing, and pre-commissioning activities.

· Identify and rectify wiring faults and resolve site execution issues.

· Maintain site documentation, FAT test reports and as-built drawings.
