What Are We Looking For

The Public Affairs Manager will be responsible for liaising between Sula and decision-making bodies such as the local government authorities to advance the interests of company to obtain a favourable response. The role will ensure a positive perception of the organisation with governmental organisations and will monitor the effect of policy changes on the organisation and advise senior leadership on the suitable course of action. The role includes below, but is not limited to :

  • Build relationship with Government department at various levels in Mantralaya
  • Ensure compliance with Excise, Revenue, Sales Tax Department and any other related Government authorities in Mumbai
  • Establish proper communication channel between SVPL and concerned/ relevant person in the Government
  • Proactively provide guidance and clarity on circulars and notifications, issued by concerned authorities within 7 working days from issuance of the same, including if necessary, in translated versions too
  • Provide all relevant information on a timely basis to the concerned representatives at Sula
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to sensitive information
  • Coordinate and prepare documents for regulatory submissions on a timely basis

Must Have Requirements

  • Graduate in any discipline with 8-10 years of relevant experience in dealing with Excise , Revenue and Sales Tax authorities
  • Integrity and Confidentiality
  • Ability to liaise with Govt. Officials, Authorities and other bureaucrats
  • Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation
  • Sound knowledge of revenue matters and litigations
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Maharashtra based with spoken knowledge of Marathi as it will deal with local authorities
