Toddle is a teacher-built, AI-first teaching and learning platform that goes beyond a typical LMS. We help educators streamline their entire workflow - from curriculum planning and assessments to student portfolios, gradebook, progress reports and family communication - all from one intuitive interface.
In the past two years, we've deeply embedded AI across our entire platform to reduce teachers' administrative workload and help them focus on what really matters: delivering meaningful, personalised instruction. Whether it's planning lessons, assessing student work, or writing report cards, Toddle AI is built to support teachers in all their work.
Today, 2,000+ schools and districts across 100+ countries use Toddle to simplify and elevate. Basically, I want to emphasize that the role is taking education problems to solve depth with and AI. So a large part of the work is basically like from 10 years ago in AI. their teaching. We are backed by leading global investors, including GSV, Z47 and Peak XV Partners.
Here's what you'll be doing
You'll work at the intersection of pedagogy and AI breaking down classroom problems into clear steps and designing AI solutions that feel like a teacher wrote them. This includes shaping prompts and examples, setting up simple tests, and partnering with design and engineering to turn ideas into working features. You'll bring a pedagogy-first lens to prompt engineering and evaluation, making sure outputs are trustworthy, high-quality, and genuinely useful for teachers. Over time, you'll own the roadmap for core features, keep documentation and processes sharp, and guide what we build next.
Within your first 3 months, you will
Understand one core AI feature end-to-end (e.g., Learning Experiences/Grading): what it does, the pedagogy it enables, and how it works (from an AI perspective)
Suggest practical improvements and prioritize the easiest, highest-impact ones.
Draft/refine prompts and examples (good outputs and "what to avoid").
Create test cases (sample inputs + expected outputs) to check quality quickly.
Launch the improvement with best practices for teachers ("what changed" and "how to get the best results").
Within 6 months, you will
Run teacher interviews to understand how the feature is performing in real classrooms.
Improve/develop a second core AI feature, extending the playbooks and practices you built in your first 3 months.
Refine and maintain documentation, keep PRDs, specs, and prompt libraries up to date so the team has a clear source of truth.
Within 12 months, you will:
Own the AI roadmap for multiple modules
Run and refine testing routines so features ship predictably and regressions are caught early.
Put lightweight release practices in place (quick checks before changes, short notes after launches).
Is this someone that looks like you?
Experience
- Have 2+ years of teaching or related experience in K-12 education
- Has deep curriculum and pedagogy expertise, with a strong grasp of how teachers plan, assess, and give feedback.
- Has applied experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) with prompt engineering, testing, and evaluation.
- Has demonstrated the ability to break down fuzzy problems into clear steps, specs, and measurable outcomes.
- Has worked in roles that require systems or product thinking — writing briefs, documenting processes, or syncing across teams.
- Is a strong communicator who can write simply and clearly — whether it's prompts, examples, test cases, or teacher-facing guidance.
