Driver – Job Description (JD)

Experience : Min 5 Yrs To 15 yrs In Driver Field

Position Summary

The Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers, goods, or materials to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining vehicle cleanliness, adhering to traffic regulations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Pick up and deliver passengers, parcels, or goods as scheduled.
  • Plan routes and manage time to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Inspect vehicles daily to ensure roadworthiness (fuel, tires, lights, fluid levels).
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and deliveries.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Assist with loading/unloading when required.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service.
  • Keep the vehicle clean inside and out.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license (e.g., Class A/B/C depending on job).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Proven driving experience (company can specify years).
  • Ability to lift and move packages (if logistics role).
  • Knowledge of GPS tools and local routes.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays if necessary.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with long-distance driving (if relevant).
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance basics.
  • Defensive driving certification.
