Job Description – Application cum Sales Engineer (Mechanical & Hydraulic Gear Fixturing)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Application cum Sales Engineer to join our team. The role involves a combination of technical application engineering and sales responsibilities, focusing on mechanical & hydraulic gear fixturing solutions for automotive, aerospace, machine tool, and precision manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate should possess a strong mechanical engineering background with excellent communication and business development skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Application Support
  • Understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions in mechanical fixturing and work-holding systems.
  • Prepare concepts, 2D/3D designs, and technical proposals in collaboration with the design team.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and suggest optimized fixturing solutions for machining, inspection, and assembly applications.
  • Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and training support to customers.
  • Sales & Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads in target industries (automotive, aerospace, heavy engineering, etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial offers.
  • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-functional Coordination
  • Work closely with the design, production, and service teams to ensure seamless execution of customer orders.
  • Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to management for product improvement and strategy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience: 2–6 years of experience in application engineering, sales, or business development in machine tools, fixtures, tooling, or precision engineering domain.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of mechanical fixturing, work-holding systems, machining processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Sales Skills:
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a proven track record in sales target achievement.
  • Other: Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹70,000.00 per month
