Job Title: Automation Test Engineer Playwright

Experience Required: 4 to 7 Years

Location: Vadodara (Work from Office)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with solid experience in test automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium, and a good understanding of TypeScript. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance, an eye for detail, and a proactive approach to finding and resolving issues early in the development cycle. This is a full-time office-based role in Vadodara, offering the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand test requirements and identify automation opportunities
  • Build and execute automated test suites for regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Develop reusable components and maintain a robust test automation framework
  • Write, review, and maintain test cases in alignment with functional and non-functional requirements
  • Troubleshoot failures and work closely with the development team to isolate and reproduce defects
  • Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and techniques

Requirements:

  • 4 to 7 years of overall experience in Software Testing with at least:

  • 2 years hands-on experience in Playwright

  • Proficiency in scripting automated tests and debugging in a modern programming language (preferably JavaScript/TypeScript)

  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices
  • Experience in creating test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured
  • Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber
  • Experience with performance or security testing tools
  • ISTQB or similar testing certifications

Work Environment:

  • Location: Vadodara Full-time work from office
  • Joining: Preference for candidates who can join immediately or within 15 days
