Senior Java Microservices developer with Core Banking

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Core Banking Applications Developer/Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team at career level IC1. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of Oracle's core banking solutions. You will partner closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver tailored software solutions that meet the evolving needs of the industry.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory:
6–8 years of experience in development, implementation, and/or support of core banking applications.
Proven experience in customizations, coding, and unit testing in support of core banking systems.
Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices technologies, Springboot, JavaScript, and XML.
Experience with application server software deployment and troubleshooting, especially Oracle Weblogic.
Familiarity with release management and source control tools.
Strong client interaction and solution presentation skills.
Understanding of banking terminologies and key industry concepts.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities in English.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
Good-to-Have:
First-hand experience in the banking domain.
Knowledge of software development processes, DevOps, and testing tools.
Exposure to Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, and middleware (e.g., Oracle Fusion SOA Suite).
Awareness of emerging technologies within the banking sector.
Oracle Banking/FLEXCUBE technical certifications.
Do you have at least 6 years of hands-on experience in the end-to-end development, implementation, or support of core banking applications?
Can you confidently demonstrate proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices, Springboot, JavaScript, and XML within enterprise-scale projects?
Have you been responsible for the deployment and troubleshooting of applications on Oracle Weblogic or similar application servers?
Are you experienced with release management processes and source control tools in a banking or financial services context?
Can you effectively communicate complex technical concepts and present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in English?
Responsibilities
Participate as a Senior Technical team member in Development, Implementation, or Managed Services activity streams such as Migration, Integration, and Testing support, ensuring effective coordination with other Oracle teams.
Analyze, design, and implement solutions based on business requirements and best practices.
Develop, customize, and maintain software programs in line with specifications from Oracle and clients, adhering to defined schedules.
Utilize established standards, tools, and processes to achieve deliverables that align with Oracle/client quality expectations.
Document all work following agreed standards and processes for effective knowledge retention and compliance.
Conform to defined Change Control Processes and meet all audit and compliance requirements of Oracle and its clients.
Ensure high-quality code delivery and facilitate proper handover and knowledge transfer at the end of assignments.
Provide timely status updates to supervisors and accurately submit required timesheets and expense reports.
