Utility Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance :Installing, maintaining, and repairing utility systems, including water lines, gas pipes, electrical wiring, and waste management infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and Repair :Diagnosing and fixing problems with utility systems, minimizing downtime and service interruptions.
• Inspections and Preventative Maintenance :Conducting regular inspections and performing preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
• Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, system updates, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Emergency Response :Responding to emergency calls and addressing urgent issues with utility systems.
• Collaboration and Communication :Working with other technicians, supervisors, and sometimes customers to ensure the smooth operation of utility services.
• Adherence to Safety :Following all safety regulations and protocols related to utility work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with utility systems.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working outdoors and in confined spaces.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and sometimes customers.
