Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

  • Ensure overall product quality, reliability, and compliance with automotive standards.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes within production and supply chain.
  • Inspect and test automotive components, assemblies, and finished vehicles.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to identify defects, deviations, or areas for improvement.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (design, production, procurement, suppliers) to resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct audits of suppliers, processes, and final products to ensure adherence to ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or OEM quality standards.
  • Analyze customer complaints, warranty claims, and field failures to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Maintain proper documentation of inspection results, corrective actions, and quality reports.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Quality Assurance & Control

  2. Establish inspection criteria, test procedures, and quality standards for automotive components.

  3. Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

  4. Process Monitoring & Improvement

  5. Monitor production lines to ensure defect-free manufacturing.

  6. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring issues.

  7. Support Kaizen, 5S, and lean manufacturing initiatives.

  8. Testing & Inspection

  9. Perform dimensional, mechanical, and functional testing of automotive parts.

  10. Use tools like CMM, micrometers, calipers, and gauges for measurement and validation.

  11. Supplier Quality Management

  12. Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality performance.

  13. Conduct supplier audits and support them in improving product quality.

  14. Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving

  15. Apply methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, and FMEA for problem-solving.

  16. Collaborate with R&D and production to resolve quality concerns.

  17. Reporting & Documentation

  18. Prepare detailed quality reports and maintain records of inspection/test results.

  19. Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA requirements.

  20. Customer & Warranty Support

  21. Handle customer complaints and provide timely resolutions.

  22. Investigate warranty issues and implement design/process changes to prevent recurrence.
